If you haven’t checked out the always-engaging and amusing Gilbert Gottfried podcast (which goes by the fun-spirited name “Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast”), you’re in for a treat. On the podcast, Gilbert chats with actors, directors, musicians, and others about their experiences in Hollywood’s golden era and beyond.

We were already big fans of the podcast. So when he decided to play our game Boom Again on an episode of it, we were thrilled because the game was built for laughter, and Gilbert was perfect for the game.
Boom Again is the new pop culture trivia game that celebrates the music, movies, fads and fun of the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.
Gilbert was eager to try his luck at the Baby Boom trivia. He and some friends played via Zoom—and the results are nothing short of hilarious. (Click here to see a clip of the Zoom call.)
Being a Baby Boomer himself, many of his guests are well-known to people who grew up in the era. Here, we recount some of his recent guests. (All these episodes and more are posted on the Gilbert Gottfried podcast website).

Al Roker joined Gilbert for a trip down memory lane and a conversation about local kiddie show hosts, the lost art of ventriloquism and even Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz.
On this episode, Michelle looked back on her seven decades in the entertainment business. She shared stories from the “wild days and crazy nights” of The Mamas and the Papas—one of the most successful and influential groups in pop music history.
He talked about some of the most iconic Seinfeld gags. If you’re a fan, you might remember the “Man hands” episode, or the Bizarro Jerry episode—and in this podcast, you learn how the writers came up with the ideas.
David also reminisced about the brilliance of actor Jerry Stiller and gave a peek into the inner workings of both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
In this encore episode (originally recorded in 2016) of the Gilbert Gottfried podcast, Gilbert celebrated Mad magazine cartoonist Al Jaffee’s 100th birthday! With a career running from 1942 until 2020, Jaffee holds the Guinness World Record for having the longest-ever career as a comic artist.
In a 2-part episode, Dana joins Gilbert for a laugh-out-loud conversation about—among other things—the “science” of monster movies, the extravagance of Sammy Davis Jr. and the generosity of Roddy McDowall (and Charlton Heston!).
Laraine Newman was part of the original SNL cast when the show premiered in 1975. Alongside John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, Garrett Morris, and Chevy Chase, she had plenty to dish about her famous fellow co-stars. She and Gilbert also recalled her days working with Bob & Ray, Dudley Moore, and Rodney Dangerfield—as well as the time she auditioned for Bob Hope (and Robert De Niro).
In this episode, Michelle looked back at her seven-decade career in television (“Knots Landing”), movies (“The Love Bug”), and on the Broadway stage (“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”).
She and Gilbert also had a lively conversation about the bawdiness of Red Skelton, the naughtiness of Buddy Hackett, the bravery of Don Rickles, and what a flirt Frank Sinatra was.
Ruta harkened back to her days partying with the Rat Pack, dating Shecky Greene, working for directors Stanley Donen and Billy Wilder and forging friendships with Debbie Reynolds, Darren McGavin, Fred Astaire and (yes) Cesar Romero.
Over the years, listeners have been treated to live performances by Neil Sedaka, Dennis DeYoung, Kenny Loggins, Tommy James, Mark Hudson, and Tony Orlando, among many others.

With his podcast regulars, he’s always up to something crazy. Whether he’s framing a 1-cent check, singing the hits of Soupy Sales, or—we can’t help but mention it again—playing a round of Boom Again, you can bet it’s going to be interesting…and a lot of laughs.
